Risk Governance Policy Brief

October 31, 2016

This policy brief is the product of testing, learning and adapting a mainstreaming approach to resilient developments in the Pacific. It is based on an in-depth review and analysis of global and regional literature on approaches to mainstreaming, climate change and disaster risk management and governance reforms. It draws on extensive testing of mainstreaming approaches in four countries (Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji and Tonga) carried out through the Pacific Risk Resilience Programme (PRRP).  It highlights the importance of engaging development decision makers and practitioners at all levels of governance for the management of climate change and disaster risks.
