This Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) has been prepared in support of the Tuvalu Coastal Adaptation Project being implemented by the Government of Tuvalu and UNDP with funding provided by the Green Climate Fund.

The project will provide highly needed coastal protection infrastructure, both in the form of hard and soft infrastructure to protect the people of Tuvalu in the face of climate change, increasing sea level rise and impacts from more severe cyclones.

This ESMP provides the overarching controls and mitigation measures that will be applied during the project.
