Building on the achievements made through the initial support from the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund (UNPBF), the project builds consensus and facilitates initiatives to address key peacebuilding challenges including reparation and reconciliation; land disputes; good governance, social cohesion, in an inclusive manner, taking into account the voices of women and youth together with men. The Project will also help establish and institutionalize structures at the provincial level to help address key peacebuilding challenges.

The project is jointly implemented by the UNDP and UN Women with support from the UNPBF.

Objectives

The project aims to achieve the following results:

• Consensus is built, actions and initiatives taken among state and non-state actors including women and youth, to address conflict causes and triggers are identified though national and provincial dialogues, youth and women’s summits;
• Structures, inclusive space and solutions to address peacebuilding challenges identified through national and provincial dialogues are established at the provincial level, institutionalized and operationalised effectively.
